About Rick jancha
When Rick L. Jancha was a young man he
witnessed the arrest of his father. From that moment he knew
that he needed make a difference. He knew he needed to help
people. That moment helped shape him into the man he is today.
In 1977, Rick L. Jancha graduated from the University
of Notre Dame Law School. That same year he was admitted to the
Indiana and Michigan bars. He was admitted into the Florida bar
in 1993. Rick Jancha began his career in the legal profession
as a criminal defense attorney. For the following nine years as
a defense attorney, he defended numerous death penalty, homicide
cases, white collar cases, and drug trafficking cases. He became
a co-chair of the Criminal Law Section of the local county bar
association.
In 1986, attorney Rick L. Jancha made a change. He was recruited by the Department of Justice. He was selected to head the Organized Crime Drug Task Force located in South Bend, Indiana. When 1989 arrived, Rick was transferred to Orlando, Florida. While in Orlando he continued his role as an Organized Crime and Federal narcotics task force attorney. For five years Rick served as a Manager in the United States Attorney's Office in Orlando. He was responsible for reviewing all criminal prosecutions. For two years, Rick Jancha served as Chief of the District Wide Narcotics Unit. He was responsible for supervising all federal drug prosecutions in 35 counties across the state of Florida. His work with the White House and Congress allowed for Central Florida to be designated as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. Serving as the Chair and Vice-Chair of it's Executive Committee, he oversaw the formation and implementation of the law enforcement initiatives of sixteen Central Florida law enforcement agencies.
Rick Jancha's extensive expertise and experience has
led him to be sought out as an instructor for victim advocacy
groups, and various federal, state, and local law enforcement
agencies. Rick Jancha has also served as an instructor in law
enforcement, teaching other federal and state prosecutors
concerning the handling of cases involving money laundering,
cybercrimes, white collar crimes, international drug
trafficking, utilization of wiretaps, and how to successfully
prosecute cases involving explosive devices.
Defense Attorney Rick Jancha has taken his extensive instructor experience concerning law to the international arena. Rick L. Jancha served on numerous occasions as an instructor for the Department of Justice, and the Department of State in the International Programs Section for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. He has served as an instructor to prosecutors, judges, banking officials in St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Khabarovsk, Moscow, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Vilnius, and Lithuania. Recently Rick Jancha assisted the United Nations in it's efforts to setup an interim government and legal system in Pristina, Kosovo by teaching and reviewing new criminal procedure code and criminal laws to the members of the interim government as well as the judicial system.
